  • Oh My God This Looks Amazing!!!!!!

    Mr. C. D. Brown | Jun 4, 2009

This game has been hughley anticipated but it's finally on its way here.
I am a huge Splinter Cell fan and have been since the first game came out, but I think it's fair to say that this game in the series will be the best we've seen.

A brief overview of the story, Sam is trying to find out who hired the killer to kill his daughter however this is just a small percentage of the story, and we will see the story unfold into something much bigger.

The new explosive thriller will have a much more faster pace and you will notice the speed at which you can move through buildings, execute enemies etc. Whereas in the past you had to move much more slowly, stop, turn to shoot, continue, this game will flow much more smoothly. One of the reasons for this is the new tool called "the mark and execute" tool. This allows you to select an enemy, light etc and then once you've selected the maximum amount of targets, Fisher will move in and take them out.

DON'T WORRY!! This will not take the skill out of playing Splinter Cell or ruin the fun, for two reasons. One it will give you a chance to use a different strategy and use different tactics e.g. "should I shoot the light first and then shoot the guy on the right or the guy on the left." The second reason is that you will only be able to select a certain amount of targets so you will be able to free aim as well. When you are marking your targets the game continues it doesn't freeze time so being quick with your actions will be essential.

There will also be the chance to use lots of new tools one being the emp grenade which knocks out any lights in the area it explodes.

For any "24" fans Sam Fisher is much more like Jack Bauer where he is the elite and ultimate predator.

Splinter Cell Conviction is going to be a spectacular game and I can't wait for it to come out in September.

  • He's Back

    A Mod | Sep 3, 2008

The splinter cell siries has been good and has improved over time, since the first game, visuals, gameplay and AI.

I was surprised as a lot of people that its not focusing on stealth as the other games have. But hopefully that wont be a bad thing.

Ive given it 3 stars because i have no conclusion about it and the fact that it hasnt been released yet.

  • Dont you read the mags i do?

    O. Bowden | Feb 1, 2008

Disclamer: This is not a reveiw (DUH! it isn't out yet)

All this about it being assassins creed all over again is bull! While Ubi may have made it so that it takes advantage of the (in my opinion excellent) chase engine used in assassins creed doesn't meen it will not have that classic splinter cell feel. A point to be made also, The evaision of police in central park is only *PART* of the game, according to the mags I have read there will also be the good old fashioned shadow hugging game play of the originals. Like i said this is not a reveiw of the game, I own assassins creed and so wish to sever the false connections made by other die hard fans.
And so i raise my night vision goggles to splinter cell and salute its un faltering uniqueness!

  • Don't Rate It Yet

    Mr. C. M. L. VINCENT | Nov 30, 2007

Exactly as the guy says, don't rate it until you've played it please. If Ubisoft continued to follow the exact formula of the originals, they would come under heavy criticism. I applaud them for taking the character and game in a new direction.

The previews of the game look very interesting. There have been thousands of conversations recorded so as Sam walks through crowds you'll hear all kinds of different things being said. The environment is also fully interactive and it's good to see that Sam will be using the Krav Maga mentioned as a skill of his in the novels. I'm giving it 5 just to counteract the 3.
